In addition, embedded in the Maths daily classroom routines, previous learning is revisited in the ‘Flash back four’ activity designed to recall previous learning from last lesson / last week / last unit / last year. The purpose of these sessions is to keep learning fresh, to practise counting and calculation strategies, improve number fact knowledge and to develop fluency of calculation.
