Mini Vinnies

Mini Vinnies are part of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, or SSVP for short. We help people in whatever way we can: Prayer, Fundraising, Food, Clothes, Advice , A listening ear ...and any other way we can think of!

The Diocese of Salford have awarded us a Catholic Social Teaching Award. This is for us to present to any child or group who put love into action. This half term the Mini Vinnies have demonstrated this through their charitable work.

The Mini Vinnies read beautifully in church during our mass for the Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes. 💕🙏

CAFOD harvest family fast day - The Mini Vinnies led an assembly about the world food crisis

We collected lots of tins in our school and donated them to the food bank in our local Tesco.

The Mini Vinnies and Pupil Voice donated food to our local food bank.

Our school collected Easter eggs to donate to the less fortunate.

We have done lots of exciting things. We teamed up with the pupil voice to raise money for children in need. We asked the teachers for help with our shoebox appeal and we had an assembly to encourage to the school to ,go green, and raise money for cafod.

The Mini Vinnies made God’s eyes in Lenten colours for the prayer tables in school.

We used natural resources to make crosses.

St Vincent de Paul lived about 500 years ago and dedicated his whole life to serving the poor and needy.

We can change the world with just our hands and our hearts!
