Today the pupil chaplains led an assembly about the Year of Mercy. They explained that Pope Francis decided the Church would celebrate the gift of mercy by declaring this year as the Year of Mercy. Through celebrating the gift of mercy, we can grow in our own understanding of God's love and bring the message of God's mercy to the world.

Two of the pupil chaplains explained that they had attended a special Mass with Bishop John at Salford Cathedral. The Bishop had launched the Holy Door for School's which will be travelling to all school's in the Diocese. The Door will be at Our Lady of Lourdes in May 2016.
