Homework Information

Daily reading – Each week children will be sent home with their reading books these are to be returned and signed everyday. Books are expected to be read and fully understood before changing. We recommend your child reading the book at least 3 times including deep questioning and discussion about the book.

 

Spelling – Spelling will be practised daily in class to further support learning. Weekly spelling shed activities will be set. Please log on to your child's spelling shed using their log in details in the back of their reading record books.

 

Maths -  Using the same log in details for spelling shed your child will be able to access maths shed where weekly maths challenges will be set for your child to practice. Your child will also receive a multiplication activity per week.

 

General - Topic Based Termly Homework will be set each half term based around that term’s topic. Your child is expected to complete at least one of the tasks set each term and this is to be brought in and celebrated in school. These will be set on SeeSaw

 

"I belong"-  If your child is completing their First Holy Communion in July, weekly homework tasks will be set throughout the summer term from their 'I Belong' Book. These tasks will be set on Seesaw and explained to the children. Children can bring their books in each friday to share their work with each other
