A message from the Year 1 team.....
Welcome back to our summer term in Year 1!
In this final term we will continue our exciting and wonderful journey together. To begin with the children will explore Jan Oke's captivating story "The Naughty Bus" which is about the many adventures of a London bus and then Simon Bartram;s humorous story of "The Man on the Moon" where Bob spends his days looking after the moon. These link to the topic of Transport in history where the children will wonder at how the first flight changed the world! They will even compose their very own Transport soundscape in Music.
In Art and Design the children will study their class artist, Yorkshire sculptress Barbara Hepworth. They will create their own art work capturing her style.
