Welcome back to year 4 as they continue their final learning journey into the Summer term.

To start the term we will explore “Cosmic” by Frank Cottrell Boyce which tells the fun story of Liam, an incredibly tall twelve-year-old who attempts to pass as an adult in order to accompany his friend Florida on a trip to space that she won in a competition. This will lead into persuasive writing where we will ask the big question  “Should everyone be given the opportunity to travel to space?”. We will then finish the year with the CS Lewis classic “The Chronicles of Narnia”.

In History and Geography, the children will focus on the local market town of Bury and how industry and Transport and the town itself have changed over time.  In Music, the children will learn how to play the recorder, performing simple melodies whilst at the same time creating a good sound and using correct technique.
