The Very Hungry Caterpillar - Sequencing and re-telling the story 🐛
We were very excited to have some special visitors - our own class caterpillars! We told our ‘Talk Partners’ what we thought would happen to our caterpillars during the next few weeks. We are looking forward to seeing how they change.
We learned about the life cycle of a butterfly and then acted this out.
We made the life cycle of a butterfly using craft materials.
We used magnifying glasses to look closely at our caterpillars. We then drew what we could see. 🐛
We have continued to look at our caterpillars at how they have changed and transformed into the chrysalis stage. We then drew what we could see of the caterpillar life cycle.
This afternoon we have looked at what has happened to our chrysalis‘ over the half term, we have seen that we have now got 5 beautiful butterflies.
This afternoon we have said goodbye to our butterflies by letting them fly off. 🦋
