Learning about L.S Lowry and his style of art
We recreated sections of ‘Market Scene, Northern Town’ by L.S.Lowry.
We re-created pictures of Bury in the style of Lowry.
Year 5 followed their designs to make and then test their Steady Hand Games. They evaluated their own and compared them with others they played.
Cooking - we learned about food hygiene and kitchen safety before cooking our bolognese recipes next week. We learned about how to use a kitchen knife using the ‘claw’, ‘bridge’ and ‘cross cut’ techniques and enjoyed eating the strawberries we’d chopped! We have got the skills now to make our bolognese next week!
We LOVED making bolognese and can’t wait to taste it tomorrow!
