On the last day of the spring term the pupil chaplains led a reflective whole school assembly. Their theme was the cross. They started with a thoughtful sign of the cross. They explained that:

• when we touch our heads to think of God the Father we are touching the highest part of our bodies, the nearest to heaven
• when we touch our chest and think of God the Son we keep Jesus and his message in our hearts
• when we touch both our shoulders and think of God the Holy Spirit, it is like wrapping ourselves with the Holy Spirit

Pupil Chaplains presented a thoughtful reflection and posed the questions:

Suppose that here today, in our school, God is choosing you.

Suppose that who Jesus lived for, died for and who he rose again for is you.

 

The pupil chaplains performed a dance with sticks as the whole school sang "Were you there when they crucified my Lord"
