Following the frosty morning we have been looking closely at snowflakes. We have been creating our own snowflakes.
Looking for signs of winter on a cold and frosty morning.
We made snowmen using rice crispy cereal and white chocolate, adding chocolate smarties for his buttons and face.
Exploring Ice Balloons - We used our senses and looked really closely using magnifying glasses to see what we noticed. The children had some great ideas for how to melt the ice!
Trapped in the ice! The children used what they had found out from exploring the ice yesterday to investigate how to free the Lego characters. The children had some fantastic ideas - putting one next to the radiator, one in salt, pouring hot water on one and holding one in our warm hands. Great ideas Reception!
