Pupils' Voice

Welcome to the Pupil Voice

We believe that children at Our Lady of Lourdes can offer unique perspectives on what it is like to be a pupil at our school. We meet every Wednesday. Each member of Pupil Voice invites a different class member to the meeting so that every child at Our Lady of Lourdes gets the chance to have their voice heard.

We want to create a meaningful change and better academic outcomes, as well as giving a sense of empowerment and inclusion.

There are five members in your Pupil Voice group. We are Fraser, Fionnula, Sofia, Kaydon and Conner. We are always here for you. You can speak to us in the playground, in the classroom or even join us at one of our meetings. There is also a suggestion box located in all of your classrooms for if you need to talk, have a suggestion, worry or concern.

We are here for YOU!

Wow! What a great start to Anti-Bullying week. This morning we introduced Odd Socks day and what fun we all had. This years theme is to Reach Out...how will you reach out? We will talk to teachers, we will listen to each other, we will find a trusted adult, we will smile, we will be a friend.

We are proud to anounce we are on our journey to becoming a Unicef Rights Respecting school. We have been awarded our Bronze award and are now working towards Silver acreditation. We want all children at our school and all around the world to be able to know and understand the rights of a child.

To help us, our teachers and community we held a Rights Respecting Children's day last year. This year we are going to celebrate World Children's Day 'A Brighter future for all children'. This year we asking all children to dress as something they aspire to be. We can not wait to see all your amazing and creative outfits. Look out for the photos soon!!

Here's a few snippets of why we wanted to become a Pupil Voice members and what we can do for you...
