Our class text for Autumn 2 is Clockwork by Philip Pullman.
This book is a suspense story set in Germany. Year 5 will be exploring the setting and characters in the text, as well as exploring different suspense stories. They will be building up to creating their own suspense story.
We were introduced to two main characters in our class novel, Fritz and Karl. We found that these two characters are a contrast of each other, as Fritz is an optimist and Karl is a pessimist. Luckily, both characters visited our classroom so we could interview them ourselves. 🪑🕯🎙

Our class text for Autumn 1 is There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom.
Bradley is one of our main characters and he often shows different sides to his personality when he is at home compared to when he is in school. As a class, we discussed the different sides to Bradley when creating our character profiles. We then explored further by hot-seating.
