This half term Year 5’s class text is a script called The Cursed Child, a spin off from the classic JK Rowling novels, Harry Potter. We will start by following stage directions and using our acting skills to perform part of the script and build up to writing our own fantasy narratives based on the play. 🪄🧙

Vocab game: emotions
We pass our boards around the room adding a different emotion every time, ensuring the emotions do not repeat, we then stop once we have our board back. The aim of the game is to gather as many emotions from each other as possible.

This half term we are looking into personification poetry. We have two poems which will inspire us to write our own. 📝
