Our Lady of Lourdes and St Bernadette
We made Grotto Garland plates so that we could give them as gifts to the statue of Our Lady. We carried out our prayer and worship by blessing ourselves and then the statues of Our Lady and St Bernadette. We thought about the way Bernadette prayed and decided to kneel in prayer.
After re reading the story of St Bernadette, we made a class dance to the Westlife song 'Safe'. The children reflected on the feelings that Mary and Bernadette had and then they thought about how this linked to their own lives.
