Year 3 had a visit from Andy Tooze today, the Poet.
We have been writing descriptions of the fisherman from our story “Coming Home” from the bird’s perspective.
The reading gladiators talked about what these characters might be saying and practiced reading our speech bubbles out with appropriate expression and intonation.
The Y3 reading gladiators have made predictions about our book “Don’t Cross the Line”. We looked at the characters on the front end pages and discussed which ones we are interested in and what questions we would ask them.
We found our the definition of a home and brainstormed some things that can make a house feel like a home. Look at this amazing piece of work! :)
