Thanksgiving(updated 17.02.17)
We thought carefully what we were thankful for. We used the hymn 'If I were a butterfly... ' to say how we would thank God for what we had.
We we chose an animal to change ourselves in to.
We used a quiet reflection to think about what we were grateful for.
We thought about The Last Supper and the words that Jesus said when he broke bread and gave wine. We linked this to the part of Eucharist when we recall the Last Supper and say Thank you to God.
We recalled the words said by Jesus and Fr Paul and we showed how the disciples felt when they heard what Jesus said.
The four parts of Mass (Eucharist)
We explored the four parts of the Eucharist in Groups; We Gather, We Listen, We Give Thanks and We Go Out.
We then split into 6 groups to produce a liturgy. Each person in the group had one of the four parts of Mass. When we pieced all of the parts together, we made a jigsaw of an image that brought together everything we thank God for at the Eucharist.
