‘Plant Hunt’ - We looked for common wild and garden flowers in our local area.
Plant Structure
We went on a ‘Flower Hunt’ to dig up weeds and wild flowers. We used magnifying glasses to observe each part of the plant and then labelled each part.
Observation Over Time Investigation - Planting Sunflower Seeds
We used magnifying glasses to observe our sunflower seeds and then we planted them in some soil. We watered them and put them in the sunlight. We drew and wrote about what we could see. We are looking forward to watching them grow over the next few weeks!
Observing Our Sunflowers - Week 1
Tree Detectives
We used a ‘Leaf Identification’ sheet to see how many trees we could spot and identify in and around our school grounds. We were surprised at how many we found!
Identifying, Classifying and Grouping
We sorted pictures of leaves from deciduous and evergreen trees.
