RE - Growing (Lent and Easter)
We explored what it means to grow. We went on a nature walk and looked for signs of Spring and things growing.
We talked about how Lent is a time to grow in love to be more like Jesus. The children had lovely ideas and they made Lenten Promises which we put on our Lenten Tree.
We learned about Palm Sunday and The Last Supper. We acted out The Last Supper and Jesus washing the disciples feet.
We learned about Good Friday. The children worked together to decorate a cross. They drew pictures of their faces to put around the cross to show that Jesus loves us all.
We learned about Easter Sunday and the children worked together to make an Easter Garden.
We celebrated how we have grown in love during Lent to be more like Jesus. We acted out ways we have shown love for each other. We enjoyed a circle time and sang 'New Life'.
