Science Day- Year 1 enjoyed exploring our 'Frozen Planet'. We looked at how animals keep warm, why the ice melts, how animals find food and what happens to all the water once it has melted. Have a look at some of our hands on activities
Cafod Feast Day 'What's your Goal?'
World Book Day- The children all came to school dressed as a character from our class novel.
The children enjoyed their trip to Manchester Airport. The children went onboard the DC10 and sat in the cockpit, they were able to take on the roles of the pilot and the engineer.. The children got to explore Concorde and a Boeing 747.
Y1'S Order of Mass Journey
In RE the children were looking at the order of mass. The children worked in groups to create freeze frames of the different of mass. Together we made a video.
The children enjoyed a walk around the local area looking at different modes of transport and local amenities. The children particularly enjoyed the woodland walk back to school and a short visit to the park.
