Daily reading:

Each week children will be sent home with their reading record books which are to be returned and signed everyday.

Books are expected to be read and fully understood before changing. We recommend your child reads the book at least 3 times, including deep questioning and discussion about the book before changing it.

Phonics:

The children will be taught a new sound daily.  They will bring home a speed sounds book so they can practise the sounds at home.  Additionally, video links will be posted on Tapestry to support the weekly sounds.
