Islam Workshops with Imran Kotwal 2024
We welcomed Imran Kotwal into school today. He led an assembly on the 5 pillars of Islam and then workshops for each class. Our reception and Year 1 classes listened to Islam stories and looked at artefacts, Year 2 learnt about the importance of prayer, Year 3 found out about the Mosque and Year 4 learnt about the holy Qur’an. Our older classes further developed their understanding of the 5 pillars, focussing on pilgrimage, Mecca and Zakat.
