We led the readings and prayers in our Christingle service which reminded us of Jesus’ light and love.

During our Catholic Social Teaching themed week, we focussed on distributive justice and subsidiarity, learning ways we can treat each other fairly and listen to all voices in society.
We have been learning about vows and service and making links to scripture. We looked at Matthew 6:21 and thought about what treasures are and what is most important in life.

Making links to being called after reflecting on the Baptism of Jesus in Matthew’s Gospel. We prayed the Rosary and meditated on this luminous mystery.
Caritas in Action: We wrote prayers to God after reflecting on how we matter more than possessions.
How can you use your talents to help your school or family? The Parable of the Talents helped us to think about using our gifts from God to help others.
We have been truly inspired by finding out more about the legacy left by St. Teresa. What a selfless and incredibly caring person!
We freeze framed the Parable of the Prodigal Son to understand that forgiveness is part of unconditional love.
Our Mission Statement: We have discussed and shared our ideas on how we can support local and wider communities.
What is unconditional love? We reflected on the parable of The Prodigal Son in Luke’s Gospel to deepen our understanding of what loves means.
How do people show love to one another? We read extracts from stories and scripture to help them us understand the ways we show love to family, friends and God.
We had a great day finding out about the life and work of our class Saint, St. Theresa of Lisieux. Nothing is small in the eyes of God.
A member of our parish Impact Group came to speak to us about the work they undertake as young Christian workers. Caitlyn spoke about the work she has done for our local community and how we can be a part of it.
