The Big Lent Walk 2025
Edwina, a wonderful representative from CAFOD, came to speak to the children about the important work the charity does to help our global family. She talked to us about Chirri who lives in Kenya and told us how her family are struggling to grow food and raise animals for food. The children found out how CAFOD has supported families like this by donating chickens for them to live a better life. We will be raising money for CAFOD by completing the Big Lent Walk to walk in solidarity.
We have started the Big Lent Walk and after 3 days, have nearly hit our target. We are so proud of our children and appreciative of the donations. We walk in solidarity to help people as they overcome poverty.
We continue to walk to raise vital funds for CAFOD. Our reception class did an even longer walk to the Burrs to show their support. We have surpassed our target and are now at £380.
We raised an incredible £439 for CAFOD during Lent because we worked together as a school community. We thank our families and school friends for their very generous donations.
