The children listened to the biblical account of Jesus entering the temple and being greeted by Simeon and Anna.
Sharing God's Gifts of Kindness with each other
Gathering - we learnt all about how and why we gather at church. The importance of the bread and wine offered up as well as all the different parts of the church and their significance.
Discovering and learning the meaning of all the different parts that make up the church.
Laudato Si - Caring for our common home. We created posters using biblical scriptures of creation. We talked about God’s creation and how he made our beautiful world in 6 days, resting on the 7th.
Jesus is the light of the world. We created lanterns and stained glass windows and read bible stories to learn all about why Jesus is the true light in the world.
Shrove Tuesday - we learnt all about this Christian festival. The children listened to its origins, why we celebrate it. We then followed a set of instructions to make our own pancakes.
Palm Sunday
Holy Week - Palm Sunday, Jesus washes the disciples feet, The Last Supper, Jesus is arrested, The Crucifixion and the Ressurection.
